More than 150 fire crews and nearly 50 firefighting aircraft are working around the clock to protect communities from the fires in northern Ontario.
Our government extends our sincere thanks to all fire crews, pilots, support staff, emergency responders and municipalities across the province supporting evacuees.
Our government won’t spare a penny to support their heroic work, and we’re doubling down with historic investments in new firefighting crews and equipment to keep Ontario safe.
We are coordinating with impacted communities to ensure safe evacuation efforts and will continue to dedicate all the resources necessary to respond to these fires and keep people safe.
