2025 Victim Support Grant

“Today, I am pleased to be here to present the 2025 Victims Support Grant of $200,000 to the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service to support important projects focused on helping victims and survivors of crime, and expanding the services available to them.  Our government recognizes the devastating and lasting impact that crime can have on individuals, families, and entire communities. This funding will help strengthen the supports provided through the Police Service and by investing in these services, we are taking meaningful steps to improve safety, restore confidence, and support healing for those affected by crime.”  MPP Bill Rosenberg

2025 Community Safety Policing Project Wigwam

“Project Wigwam received $248,058 in 2025 through the Community Safety and Policing Grant Program. The initiative uses a blended approach that combines community engagement with enforcement activities, delivered in collaboration with multiple partners. Its crime reduction and suppression strategies focus on identifying and monitoring high-risk situations through tools such as a situation table, data analytics, police training, and targeted patrols. The project plays a significant and essential role in enhancing community safety and protecting residents.”  MPP Bill Rosenberg
