We started our BBQ day in Elliot Lake featured an exceptional group of volunteers at the local food bank, whom we acknowledge for their crucial contributions to our communities.
Joining Adelaide Wimpenny, representing Feed Ontario and Chicken Farmers Ontario, we gained insight into not only the substantial community donations, but also from the Chicken Farmers, who generously donated over 600 kilograms of chicken, equivalent to 5,500 nutritious protein meals.
Len detailed how their $2000 membership yielded over $50,000 worth of food donations to the food bank, which serves an average of 300 families.
We extend our congratulations to all involved in this endeavour in Elliot Lake.
