Next stop is on beautiful Manitoulin Island where Minister Trevor Jones and PA’s Paul Vickers and Bill Rosenberg visited one of the fish farms currently on the Island. Thanks to Susan Cole, Geoff Cole and RJ Taylor for this experience. Aquaculture is a vital food resource, and one net-pen holds up to 75,000 trout.

Some of my fishing friends that struggle catching a fish may actually be able to catch one if they drop a line .

This industry has a great opportunity for growth right here in Northern Ontario .

Next ….a beef feedlot where cattle are being housed in a brand new barn.

Followed by a visit to a cow/calf farm.

While the beef market is quite strong right now, these farmers take on considerable risk with the investments that have to be made to keep viable productivity.

All of our stops resulted in valuable feedback and discussions that we will bring back to the legislature to share all the concerns in each form of industry.
